Kodak Scanner Will Not Scan

Issue:

My Kodak scanner will not scan. A red light on the scanner blinks, and the scanner does not seem to communicate with the computer.

Solution:

1. Try rebooting the computer and scanner.

2. Try connecting to a different USB port on the computer

3. Update the scanner drivers from Kodak's website: www.kodakalaris.com/go/disupport and serach the model number in the          "Find your Product" search bar.

4. Use the Kodak's Scan Validation Tool to diagnose. This will help identify if the issue is hardware or software related.

From the Windows Start Menu open the "Kodak" folder.

Open the "Document Imaging folder" and click "Scan Validation Tool" (aka "SVT").

Select the "Twain" driver upon launch.

   Lastly, click the "Scan" icon.
